We have fostered all ages of dogs from young puppies to senior citizen dogs. We also worked with handi-cap dogs, deaf dogs, blind dogs, dying dog, crippled dogs, extremely frail / sick dogs, dogs with long term health issues, undersocialized dogs, abused dogs, severely neglected dogs,  special needs dogs and much more.  The Beginning of Schnauzers

Schnauzers Come in Several Sizes.
Below is some basic information about the origin of each size.

♣~♣~♣

Standard Schnauzers

(We Do Not Breed This Size)

Out of All The Schnauzer Sizes, The
Standard Schnauzers Has Been Around the Longest

Standard Schnauzers Appear In Many Paintings Of the 15th & 16th Centuries

Standard Schnauzers Were Created By Breeding the Black German Poodle & Gray Wolf Spitz Upon Wired hair Pinscher Stock.

Standard Schnauzers Originated In Germany

They Range From 17.5 to 19.5  inches
They Generally
Weigh Between 30 ~ 45 pounds

AKC Recognized Standard Schnauzers In 1904

Giant Schnauzers

(We Do Not Breed This Size)

Giant Schnauzers Were Developed in the Heavy Agricultural Area's of  Wurtlenberg & Bavaria Sections in Germany Where the Demand for Farm Help Was High.

Drovers
( people that drive herds of animals on farms)  Bred Large Size Dogs Such As The Black Great Danes & Bouvier des Flandres to the Standard Schnauzers In Order to Create The Giant Schnauzers Which Became Very Powerful  & Extremely Useful On the Farms

They Range From 23.5 to 27.5 inches
They Generally
Weigh Between 55 ~ 80 pounds

Despite Their Name,
Giant Schnauzers Are Not Catorgerized as a "Giant Breed"

Giant Schnauzers Were Recognized by AKC in 1930

♣~♣~♣

Miniature Schnauzers
(We Do Have This Size On Occasion)

The
Miniature Schnauzer Was Exhibited As a Distinct Breed  As Early As 1899.

The
Miniature Schnauzers Were Created  By Breeding Standard Schnauzers With Affenpinschers & Poodles

The
Miniature Schnauzer Ranges from 12 to 14 inches
They Generally
Weigh Between 11 ~ 20 pounds

Miniature Schnauzers Have Been Bred In the United States Since 1925

Miniature Schnauzers Were Recognized By the AKC in 1933

♣~♣~♣

Toy & Teacup Schnauzers
( We Specialize In Breeding These Sizes)

The Toy & Teacup Schnauzers Were Mainly Created By Breeding
the Miniature Schnauzer with a Toy or Teacup Poodle, and in some cases a Pomeranian.

Toy & Teacup Schnauzers Generally Range From  7 to 10.5 inches
They Usually
Weigh Between 3 to 10 pounds

Toy & Teacup Schnauzers Are Not Yet Recognized By AKC
At This Time,
Toy & Teacup's Are Just Considered a Small or Undersized Miniature
